Ankle injuries are one of the most common sporting injuries we see at Head2Toe. Like a lot of body parts, we take the foot for granted considering the huge demands we make of it. From carrying your body weight around for thousands of steps per day, to the twisting and turning, jumping, kicking and landing demands of sport, your feet and ankles perform an amazing array of functions. However, they can also be the source of pain and discomfort.
At Head2Toe, because we offer both Physiotherapy and Podiatry services, you are in the best possible hands to accurately diagnose, treat and rehabilitate your foot and ankle problems.
If your Head2Toe therapist feels your injury may be too severe to begin rehabilitation, they will provide you with the correct advice on what needs to be done to get you to a point where you’re ready for Physiotherapy.
This may involve sending you for X-Rays, or Ultrasound Scans, placing you into restrictive/protective footwear such as a Cam-Walker (Or ‘Moon Boot’), liaising with your GP to organise appropriate medication, or even aiding you in getting referred to the appropriate Orthopaedic, or Podiatric expert.
