Bulk Billing Podiatry
Bulk billing podiatry is available at Head2toe Physiotherapy and podiatry for pension and healthcare card holders, and patient claiming is available through medicare for others. At Head2toe we are dedicated to providing our patients with the highest quality care and personalised treatment plans to help them achieve optimal foot health.
We are proud to offer a bulk billing podiatry service for eligible patients. This means that if you have a valid Medicare card and a referral from your GP, you can receive our podiatry services with no out-of-pocket expenses.
Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) Podiatry
In order to be eligible for our bulk billing podiatry service patients must have a valid Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan from their General Practitioner (GP).
An EPC plan is a government-funded program that provides Medicare rebates for patients with chronic and complex medical conditions. To receive an EPC plan, you must first visit your GP, who will assess your condition and determine whether you are eligible. If you are eligible, your GP will prepare a treatment plan that outlines the services you will receive from your allied healthcare providers, such as our podiatrists.
With a valid EPC plan, you can receive up to five podiatry services per year with a Medicare rebate.
How Does an EPC Plan Work?
If you are eligible for an EPC plan, your GP will refer you to a podiatrist who is registered with Medicare. The podiatrist will then assess your condition and provide you with a personalised treatment plan. The treatment plan will include details of the treatment and the number of visits required.
Under an EPC plan, you will be able to access up to five podiatry visits per year at a bulk-billing podiatry clinic in Moonee Ponds. This means that you will not have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses for the podiatry care you receive.
